Just a side note……
I am sorry to any of you who are emailing and don’t hear back. For some reason, I am getting emails, but can’t send any replying emails. I have tried everything and am still working on it. Please be patient with me until I get this problem fixed.

It’s finally warm!!!
I would like it to be warmer, but at least we have had weather that is warm enough not to wear a coat at all times. The golfers are back and Jeremy has had to mow at least once. We have the grill up and running and we got Lynn some new sandbox sand. She is thrilled and very hard to bring her back indoors for any reason. I took some pictures to share with all of you.
Lynn wanted me to take this picture so everyone could see her with her blanket on.

Lynn as “Swiper, the fox”
As some of you know, Lynn loves “Dora, the Explorer”. On the show there is a fox that likes to take things away and throw them in a bush, tree, or anywhere. Then, Dora and her friend, Boots have to go and get it back.
Alot of the time, Dora and Boots say, “SWIPER, NO SWIPPING” three times and then he can’t swipe.
Well, last Saturday, Lynn said she was Swiper, the fox. I said, Oh no, what are you going to swipe?? She said it was my coffee cup, she accidently left after our bible study. She said, come on mommy, you have to say, “SWIPER, NO SWIPPING”!!!!
So, I said started, by the time I got to the second one, she grabbed the coffee cup and threw it across the room, into the door. As you can see, there was still coffee in it. After that, she told me as “Swiper” does, “YOU’RE TOOOOOOOOOO LATE”.
Ususally, Lynn doesn’t swipe and says, “OHHHHH MAN!!” (This is what Swiper says when he can’t swipe.) Of all the times, she swipes and throws a coffee that is still full.
I had to share a picture the picture too.

Just a few updates
I am sorry to report that I have been bad at taking photos this week. We got our car back and it is looking great! Unfortunately, we had to take it to Kia to get the original issue fixed and it is still in the shop. They had to order parts and gave us a total because they say that our jumping the engine is why it will not be covered under warranty. Today we got a call that they ordered wrong parts, the search was more intense and more labor, and the total has gone up.
We are praying that they will find that it is under warranty after all and we don’t have to pay, especially at this time. We are really looking forward to seeing our dossier go in this month.
As far as “Prairie Island”, Jeremy has had a better week and getting prepared to make is transition. His old boss seems to have come to grips with Jeremy leaving and that is good.
A praise this week…….My in-laws got the job in Indiana and have bought a house a mile from the church. Please pray for them during this move. Diane, my mother-in-law, needs to find a great job. Also, my brother-in-law, Nathaniel needs an apartment to stay in during the summer.
I’m sorry this is not much, but not much happened. I hope all of you have a great week!

Jeremy broke up with valve engineering
Jeremy thought it would be an easy transfer from valve engineering to planning, but it has not been so easy. Each night Jeremy has a new addition to this soap opera at our local power station.
Needless to say….. his engineering boss is not taking it well. Actually…. he is taking it personally. He is making every effort to keep Jeremy. All week, the new boss and old boss have been arguing on when Jeremy will leave and start in planning.
By the conclusion of this week, the bosses have agreed. The old boss says he is letting Jeremy go early. The old boss says he is letting Jeremy stay an extra week. Regardless, he is to start May 5th.
Join us next time for another episode of “Prairie Island”….. A desperate attempt at who may win Jeremy Horner, excellent worker and all around great guy.

Jeremy is getting a new job!
Jeremy is moving from Valve Engineering to Planning. This has been a well thought out and prayed for. This move opens wonderful opportunities for Jeremy and looks great on his resume. Many southern plants want a degreed engineer to work at thier plants, but want Planners to have experience and will over look Jeremy having a Physics degree. Also, Planning will give him a wider range of experience.
We will be getting a larger salary, but it will hardly be noticed. I am just thrilled he will be working at a job that will give him more fulfillment than frustration. Also, I am thrilled that at least I will have some clue how to explain what he does. I am sure he will be challenged and be placed before people who will enhance his skills.
We shared the news with our small group. As soon as I announced Jeremy got a new job, eveyone went, “WHAT???” I said, we are not leaving, it is within the company. They all sighed with relief. I guess I should appreciate that I am wanted. They keep telling us, “You know, once people move to Minnesota, they never want to leave.”
My response is…”Just wait until you help me pack….”

More on the accident….
I have received requests to post pictures of where the accident took place. I think it is difficult to fathom without seeing where it took place.
This is my rental. Lynn and I have grown particularly fond of the sun roof. I must confess…. I scratched the front bumper today off a green guard post. My parents know that moving objects, I have no problem with. Objects that have been standing still for long periods of time, I’ll hit eventually. I was scrubbing the green paint off and mumbling nasty things about myself, to myself while praying God would veer us off this path of self-distruction.
