For Nana Terri…..

My mom sent Lynn some lollypops that look like marshmellows on a stick. I caught a picture of her licking with great excitement!

Summer fun

In our preparations to purge, clean, and move…. Lynn finds herself bored often. She has been a good sport about all of it, so I have worked hard to get her play time with friends when I can. The first picture is of her playing by herself. The last two are of her playing on a slip-n-slide at the neighbors house. She had a busy week of babysitters and ended the week at the Minnesota Zoo with her best buddy, Jack.

The strong-willed need a strong back

Last night, Lynn fought going to bed as hard as she could. In her anger, she headed off to the nursery room…. and this is how we found her. Until morning, this punishment seemed sufficient.

The lastest news on the Horners

Holly: I returned from Pennsylvania to attend my cousin’s wedding. I enjoyed traveling alone, but I missed Jeremy and Lynn very much.

Jeremy: He and Lynn had a great time having lots of daddy-daughter time. They went to parks, the drive-in, and even showed the house to a family who showed interest in buying our home. For those of you who do not know, Jeremy and I feel called to move to St. Paul. Our church is doing a church plant bearing the name, The Gallery Covenant Church. We believe our mission will also include working with Intervarsity. There are two chapters in the area of the church plant. We are anxious to see what God has for us out there.
Lynn: She is no longer in school and bored! I bought her a tube viewer to watch how a carrot, onion, and radish grow underground. She loves having something to check on every day!

A train trip with dad

Tuesday, Lynn and Jeremy went on a field trip on the train from Red Wing to Wynonia. They stopped there to get ice cream and ride the carousel, then take a bus ride back. I think they had a wonderful time! Lynn is pictured mostly with her best buddy in preschool, Andie.

Girl shopping…..

Lynn and I got hair cuts and went shoe shopping. Every girl needs learn how to treat herself to days like this. Lynn wanted a major summer cut. I requested a simple trim of the split ends. The water and weather here is murdering my hair! The hair dresser told me it is because I have spent most of my life in a moist environment. I would have to agree. When I hear complaints of humidity here….. oh my, they have no idea what humidity is. Here is Lynn surviving the great hair dryer.

Shoe shopping was a must…. especially when mommy has a weakness for shoes. As much fun as we had, we walked away with no new shoes. Lynn’s favorite part is jumping on the large “jelly beans”.
